I’m Laura Benjamin, formerly Laurie Schickler, a 1974 Cardinal Mooney High School graduate. You may remember my siblings: Lisa, Cindy, Eric, Jeff and Paul. We grew up in Rochester, but all moved to Colorado in 1993.

What’s the purpose of the Rochester NY Cardinal Mooney High School Blog?

Hasn’t changed at all, right?

After graduating from Cardinal Mooney, I enlisted in the Air Force and served seven years as a paralegal at military bases around the US, including the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Yuba City CA and Denver CO. Then I returned to Rochester and worked in Employee Benefits/Human Resources at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

In 1993, the kids and I moved to Colorado. I worked as a Career Coach, then a Sales and Service Team Manager for Current Inc. In 1997, I left the corporate world and started a professional facilitation, coaching, writing and speaking business  .  I’ve been happily self-employed ever since.

I’m also happy to say the “kids” are now three great young adults. We love living in Colorado but miss all our Rochester family and friends!
